Wyndham's accounting department is one of the most difficult Accouting departments in any lodging system in the United States.  It is often impossible to get in contact with anyone in the department and it is even more unlikely that you will accomplish anything with these individuals.  Many incorrect billing issues go unresolved for months at a time.  Much of the inconsistencies in billing go overlooked and result in further frustration from the franchisees.  The department resorts to threats against the owners in the form of default while they continue to avoid or resolve any of the franchisees issues.

Threatening to turn the Reservation system offline:   Taking hotels offline for non-payment of an invoice or failure in QA report is an unfair practice which makes it very difficult for the franchisee to operate their business.  It is an improper practice that allows the franchisor to control franchisees and drive them into submission, while disputing any invoice or amenities. As the reservation system of franchisor is also connected with the GDS systems, the hotel will also go offline from third party websites, which results in a considerable loss of revenue for the franchisees.   Giving rights to junior executives in accounts and the QA department to put the hotel offline is a questionable practice.  This practice needs to be stopped and should be made one of our topmost priorities.  It is a form of heavy handedness that has become an industry wide practice.  It reduces our ability to generate revenue and results in further deterioration of the franchise system.
