SUPER 8 MOTELS INC. VS. Mr. PATEL (California) :
5/29/08 There is a pending case filed against Mr. Patel from California, who was a fellow Super 8 franchisee in California. His property had failed out of the system based solely on the doubling of 1 specific issue. His property parking lot had some cracks that the inspectors continued to double until he failed several inspections. The other scores including housekeeping were continually passing with respectable scores. Wyndham removed his property by placing him in default and following by filing a liquidated damage case in NJ. His attorney contacted the association in a effort to help in his case. The issue regarding QA inspections and the issue regarding turning off the reservations system all contributed to his problems. The presence of our association is very significant and we are given further credibility by their referral of our group in the mediation statement.
